Boston Map

The workshop will be held at the Department of Astronomy ("A" on the map) in room 502.

Address: 725 Commonwealth Ave., Room 502

If arriving by Subway/trolley:

Green Line B train (says "Boston College" when heading west - "outbound" - from downtown) to Boston Univ East stop (2nd above-ground stop). This leaves you on a median strip. Cross the street on the same side as you get off the train. Bear left and go in the first door, marked "705 Commonwealth Ave." Go up half a flight of stairs, then bear left to the first elevator. Take elevator to the 5th floor, then walk almost all the way down the hall to room 502.

If arriving by car:

From I-93, exit onto Storrow Dr. directly.

From I-90, follow the sign for Cambridge but turn right onto Storrow Dr. just after the hotel before going over the river.

From Storrow Drive:

Take the Kenmore Square exit. Bear right about 45 degrees at the stoplight. This will angle over to Commonwealth Ave. eventually, with the parking lot being 2 blocks up the street (don't use the 1st parking lot that you see - it's an extra block away). Walk half a block west (away from the city) and go in the door marked "705 Commonwealth Ave." Go up half a flight of stairs, then bear left to the first elevator. Take elevator to the 5th floor, then walk almost all the way down the hall to room 502.

Parking:

There is parking for $10 at a public lot 1 block east of the building. This is two blocks west of Kenmore Square. There are a number of U-turn possibilities from the left lane in case you go too far. (Commonwealth Ave. has a median strip.)
