The AGILE Data Center and the First AGILE Catalog of High Confidence Gamma-Ray Sources

Carlotta Pittori

Abstract:

We present the First Catalogue of high-confidence gamma-ray sources detected by the AGILE Instrument for energies greater than E>100 MeV. The AGILE gamma-ray astronomy satellite, launched in April 2007, is a mission devoted to gamma-ray observations in the 30 MeV-30 GeV energy range, with simultaneous X-ray imaging in the 18-60 keV band. The catalogue is based on observations performed during the first year of operations, from 9 July 2007 to 30 June 2008.
