Fermi Data Policy

In brief, after the first year data are not proprietary. During the first year the release of LAT data were restricted to allow the LAT instrument team to calibrate their instrument and carry out their proposed sky survey. The LAT team did release data on transient sources and lightcurves for more than 20 regularly monitored sources, and has added more sources to the list as they show significant brightening. Since the beginning of the second year of operations, all LAT science data is released as early as possible. The LAT public archive includes the science data acquired in the first year.

GBM data are not proprietary at any time during the mission, and are released as early as possible during science operations.
