Fermi ToO 060601-1-1

A ToO observation to observe CRAB NEBULA at RA, Dec = 83.6300, 32.0100 (J2000) was approved at 2013-10-18 16:53:07 UTC.

The justification for the ToO is: Emission from the Crab has increased significantly above the threshold for triggering follow-up programs, nearly doubling in the past day. The GeV enhancement is coincident with the Crab location and has reached a daily average of ~1 x 10-5 ph cm-2 s-1 E>100 MeV, comparable to historical highs. Intensive LAT monitoring of the flares is critical for constraining the mechanism and origin of this activity and supporting multiwavelength follow-up

The planned duration is 300.00 ks.

The autonomous request threshold during this ToO is LOW.

The ToO observation should begin between 2013-10-18 16:53:07 UTC and 2013-10-25 16:53:07 UTC.

The ToO observation was requested by DR. ELIZABETH HAYS.

The ToO commanding order was sent to the MOC at 2013-10-18 16:59:08 UTC.

The MOC acknowledged receipt of this order at 2013-10-18 17:00:23 UTC.

The MOC sent the ToO execution notification at 2013-10-18 17:47:19 UTC.

The ToO order status is Uplinked at or before: 2013-10-18 17:45:58 UT
