 List of simulated Fermi data files for spectral analysis

1) simscdata_1week.fits

Spacecraft file in the Fermi spacecraft data format (a.k.a. the FT2
format) that contains spacecraft data (such as spacecraft locations
and spacecraft attitude) for a simulated Fermi orbit during the 9 days
starting at the beginning of February 5th, 2009 (UTC).

2) simvelaspec_events.fits
   simvelaspec_diffrsp.fits

Event files in the Fermi event data format (a.k.a. the FT1 format)
that contains simulated photons during the 7 days starting at the
beginning of February 6th, 2009 (UTC).  The two files are identical to
each other, except that simvelaspec_diffrsp.fits has precomputed
diffuse response written in it for faster execution of gtlike.

The simulated sky contains: extragalactic diffuse background, Galactic
diffuse background, and 3EG J0834-4511 (a.k.a. the Vela pulsar).  All
the sources were simulated as a steady source, i.e., no pulsations
were simulated for the Vela pulsar.

A) Extragalactic diffuse background

   Spectral model
      Spectral shape: power-law
      Photon index: 2.1
      Energy range: 20 MeV - 200 GeV

   Spacial model
      Spacial distribution: isotropic

B) Galactic diffuse background

   Gamma-ray intensities calculated by the GALPROP software

C) Vela pulsar

   Spectral model
      Spectral shape: broken power-law
      Photon index: 1.69 and 3.69
      Break energy: 1.9 GeV
      Energy range: 20 MeV - 1000 GeV

   Spacial model
      Spacial distribution: point-like
      Right Ascension: 128.73
      Declination: -45.2

3) simvelaspec_ltcube.fits
   simvelaspec_expmap.fits

The live-time cube and the exposure map for gtlike to be used to
perform a unbinned spectral fit to simvelaspec_events.fits or
simvelaspec_diffrsp.fits.

4) simvelaspec_srcmdl.xml

An example source model to be used to perform a unbinned spectral fit
to simvelaspec_events.fits or simvelaspec_diffrsp.fits.

Output files generated by gtlike when it performs a unbinned spectral
