Abstract:

Recently pulsed non-thermal X-ray emission was detected from gamma-ray pulsar, PSR J1836+5925. We investigate the X-ray emission region based on the outer gap model. In the outer gap model, pairs created from photons emitted by curvature radiation emit the synchrotron radiation. This synchrotron radiation is considered to be observed as the non-thermal X-ray pulsed emission. Using the synchrotron model in Kisaka & Tanaka (2014) and the gamma-ray observation of J1836+5925, we show that created pairs through photon-photon pair creation cannot explain the observed non-thermal emission. We also discuss the age dependence for the upper limit of the X-ray emission region of gamma-ray pulsars.
