Abstract:

The expected variable sources at Fermi LAT energies are mainly blazars, gamma-ray bursts and sources such as binaries and novae. After 6 years of LAT data taking, we look for transient sources which were not included in any published LAT catalog. We analyzed the LAT data over periods of one month and four months looking for short and long flares which were not bright or long enough to reach the detection threshold of the published LAT catalogs. We performed the analysis on both Pass7Reprocessed and Pass8 LAT data to compare also the improvements resulting from the latest version of LAT data processing. We intend to apply the association pipelines used to produce the LAT Catalogs, to be coherent with them, and to look for candidate counterparts of the resulting transient sources.
