Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope

ASDC tools in the multi-energy/time/messenger era

S. Ciprini

Abstract:

The ASI Science Data Center is a multi-mission, multi-disciplinary data center, providing support, for science data processing, archiving, mining, distribution, to several space missions dedicated to the observation of the Universe. The center is motivated by the long-term storage and preservation of valuable scientific space-mission data, by the development of interactive tools, by the support to the community inviting researchers to use and exploit the huge amount of data collected, archives and catalogs. It is motivated also by the promotion of energy multi-waveband, multi-temporal and multi-messenger analysis and by a simplified integration of data from different missions/instruments/telescopes. Examples of some data visualization and exploration tools implemented for high-energy X-ray and gamma-ray astrophysics missions are reported.
