Q: Is there a babysitting service available at the hotel?
A: For babysitters that will babysit at the hotel, the guests can contact Nannytainment at 703.201.2778. Please note that they are not affiliated with the Hotel and are independent contractors.
Q: Do you have any advice about local public transport?
A: Buy a SmartCard. It will save you a dollar per ride and you don't have to worry about making change. SmartCard works for both the Metro and buses. Also, if you like cycling you can consider joining Capital Bikeshare (www.capitalbikeshare.com) which lets you borrow bicycles and leave them at different points in the city.
Q: Do you have any suggestions for the best local paths to explore local attractions?
A: The paths around the hotel are not conducive to walking. A suggested jogging path is attached that outlines a running path around the local attractions.
Q: Are the registration fees and hotel reservations refundable?
A: The registration fees paid are refundable minus a 10% transaction fee through October 30, 2015; there will not be any refunds processed after this date. All hotel reservations canceled prior to the confirmed checkout date will be subject to one night's room and tax as penalty.
Q: Is there parking at the hotel? What does it cost?
A: Yes. It is $12 dollars per day.

A: The principal sponsor of this conference is Universities Space Research Association.
Q: I am a student. Is it possible to waive all of part of the registration fee?
A: Unfortunately, our financial resources are limited. In order to allow the largest number of participants, we are only able to offer students a discount on the registration fee.

Q: Are we permitted to submit more than one abstract?
A: Yes it is possible to present more than one abstract. Note that while you may request a talk or multiple talks, the default presentation mode is a poster.
Q: Do I need to provide the full author list at the point of abstract submission? Is it possible to add some more authors later for the presentaton?
A: You may list as many authors as you wish with your abstract submission, and include them or additional authors on your poster or oral presentation. However, the program will likely only list the first author. The online abstract page will list whomever you included with your abstract submission.
Q: What is the plan regarding proceedings for this symposium?
A: We are considering not compiling proceedings at all for this symposium, but the final decision on that topic has not yet been made.
Q: I am staying at the hotel. How can I purchase a discounted breakfast?
A: You will have the opportunity to purchase the discounted ticket during checkin.
Q: I am not staying at the hotel. How can I purchase a discounted breakfast?
A: You will also have the opportunity to purchase the discounted tickets each day of the meeting.
Q: Where can I find information about the hotel shuttle?
A: The shuttle departs the hotel every half and full hour. The shuttle holds 12-14 people and it takes about 10 minutes to reach nearby restaurants. The shuttle picks up from the front of the hotel. and drops off at the metro and Pentagon City. The drop off location is also the pickup location.
Q: Can I use the hotel shuttle even if I am not staying at the hotel?
A: Yes, you can board the bus and ride it to the meeting location, airport or mall, however it will not drop off at any other locations.
Q: Where do I meet the shuttle after exiting from the metro?
A: When exiting the Pentagon metro station they should use the "Hayes Street- The Fashion center at Pentagon City" exit to the street to meet the shuttle. There is no fee associated with the shuttle, and the shuttle departs the metro station at quarter past and quarter of every hour.
Q: Is there a shuttle to the airport?
A: The shuttle for the airport is every hour and half past the hour (from the hotel).
Q: Is the hotel shuttle available to go to local restaurants?
A: If there is a group that is going to a local restaurant (Including Columbia Pike), we can used the reserved shuttles for transportation to the location. Pentagon Row restaurants are a quick 3-5 minute ride on the shuttle, Walking is not recommended for the latter.
Q: Is it possible to get lunch at the hotel?
A: Lunch will be provided Monday through Thursday onsite. It will not be necessary for anyone to leave for lunch.
Q: Does the hotel provide electric plug converters?
A: Sorry, the hotel does not have electric plug converters.
Q: Is there an ATM at the hotel?
A: There is an ATM located in the hotel restaurant.
