Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope

Fermi Data Policy

In brief, after the first year science data are not proprietary and are promptly disseminated. During the first year the LAT team released data on transient sources and lightcurves for more than 20 regularly monitored sources, and has added many more sources to the list as they have shown significant brightening. Since the beginning of the second year of operations, all LAT science data has been released as early as possible, typically within a day or two of acquisition. The LAT public archive includes the science data acquired in the first year.

GBM data are not proprietary at any time during the mission, and are released as early as possible during science operations.
