The Fourth LAT AGN catalog (4LAC) will be a spin-off of the Fourth LAT Source catalog based on 8 years of data, focusing on AGNs. The 4LAC will comprise about 3000 sources, essentially doubling the number of sources published in 3LAC. Most of them (98%) will be blazars. The number of detected misaligned AGNs will also double, reaching about 50. A large effort is under progress to classify and assign redshifts to the blazars. The gamma-ray properties of the newly detected sources will be discussed.
