Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope

From MeV to TeV: Six Decades of Gamma-ray Astronomy

Chad Brisbois

Abstract:

The combined datasets from HAWC and Fermi-LAT provide nearly continuous all-sky coverage from 100 MeV to above 100 TeV from 2014 to 2018. At the dawn of the multi-messenger, time-domain astronomical era, high-uptime, wide field-of-view instruments such as HAWC and Fermi-LAT are critical to creating a complete picture of the high energy universe. This talk will highlight several projects combining both datasets, including the Cygnus Region, searching for TeV Halos, and the observation of transients. The complementary aspects of both Fermi-LAT and HAWC will be emphasized, and future prospects for cooperation will be discussed.
