Abstract:

IceCube's many successes has led neutrino astrophysics as a major player in multimessenger astronomy. Fermi's contributions are seen everywhere in IceCube's analysis, from the recent major breakthrough of the first indication of a high energy neutrino source to gamma-ray light curve analyses in neutrinos, blazar catalogs stacked and tested in neutrinos, and gamma-ray burst analyzed for neutrino coincidence, all using Fermi data. In this talk, I will review the decade long history of IceCube's partnership with Fermi, what Fermi data has provided IceCube, and what the future of neutrino astrophysics needs from Fermi.
