MW 826

Mission Week 826 begins with a continuation of the asymmetric +50/-60 deg. profile from the previous week. Then, on DOY 88 (2024-3-28) at 00:30 UT a 10-minute freeze observation occurs during which an asymmetric +50/-60 deg. profile is loaded. Next, on DOY 89 (2024-3-29) at 20:49 UT a 10-minute freeze observation occurs during which a symmetric +/-50 deg. profile is loaded. This profile continues until the end of the mission week. The survey repeat period DECREASED from 5695s to 5694s. Note that positive rock angles are south, and negative rock angles are north. (updated: 22-Mar-2024)

MW 827

Mission Week 827 begins with a continuation of the symmetric +/-50 deg. profile from the previous week. Then, on DOY 95 (2024-4-4) at 01:46 UT a 10-minute freeze observation occurs during which a symmetric +/-50 deg. profile is loaded. Next, on DOY 98 (2024-4-7) at 23:07 UT a 10-minute freeze observation occurs during which a symmetric +/-50 deg. profile is loaded. Following this, on DOY 100 (2024-4-9) at 14:44 UT a 10-minute freeze observation occurs during which an asymmetric -50/+60 deg. profile is loaded. This profile continues until the end of the mission week. The survey repeat period is based on a 5694s orbital period. Note that positive rock angles are south, and negative rock angles are north. (updated: 14-Mar-2024)

MW 828

Mission Week 828 begins with a 10-minute freeze observation during which an asymmetric -50/+60 deg. profile is loaded. Then, on DOY 107 (2024-4-16) at 01:50 UT a 10-minute freeze observation occurs during which a symmetric +/-50 deg. profile is loaded. This profile continues until the end of the mission week. The survey repeat period is based on a 5694s orbital period. Note that positive rock angles are south, and negative rock angles are north. (updated: 21-Mar-2024)

This utility allows you to view Fermi's observing timeline. It defaults to the current AO cycle, but you can also view past AO cycles, along with timelines showing a summary of the Targets of Opportunity (TOO), Automatic Re-pointing Requests (ARR), other pointed observations, and non-science periods. Explanations of the columns can be found in the glossary.

Pointed observations (like ToOs and ARRs) that interrupted the schedule are indicated in bold. Preliminary scheduled observations are indicated in italics.

Note: Updates to this page can be delayed by unexpected timeline changes. For information about on-going Target-of-Opportunity observations, check the Approved TOOs page.

10380     Profiled Calibration Calibration Downtime ISOC [60] Calibration time request (MPLAN-106) Please reserve 2 orbits in MW60 for routine calibrations. These are a reschedule of the calibrations from MW56 which failed because of an empty LAT config file. Estimated run times: calibGen_flt - 3680 s calibGen_max - 3590 s. The runs should be outside the SAA. Using two SAA to SAA orbits fits these estimated run times the best with a few minutes extra margin.

The orbits are on June 17,2010 from 14:23 to 17:34. The data collected is not expected to be used for science, though the data could be usefully salvaged. The data volume to the SSR is expected to increase by ~1/3 during these two orbits.

Please note that the data collected will not be usable for science analysis as they are from charge injection calibration runs. Configuration uploads and other planning required to complete these runs will follow in another JIRA.
