LAT Monitored Sources

The following are the sources the LAT team will monitor during the first year (and most likely throughout the mission). The fluxes are now available via Browse. Also, light curves for these sources (and for bright transients) are also available. This list will most likely grow as the mission progresses.

A detailed description of this data can be found here.

any source (except Crab, Vela, and Geminga pulsars)     monitor if flux exceeds 1x10-6 cm-2s-1

As sources cross the monitoring flux threshold of 1x10-6 cm-2s-1, they are added to the monitored source list. Below are the sources which have been added since Fermi nominal science operations began on August 11, 2008. The initial flux threshold was 2x10-6 cm-2s-1, but this value was lowered in June 2009. Sources that passed the new (lower) threshold prior to that date have also been added to the monitoring list.

The lightcurves and spectra of transient sources will also be posted; see the data policy.
