Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope

Fermi Proposer Workshop

The goal of this session is to update the community on opportunities to participate in the science of the ongoing Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope mission. A description of the Fermi mission and a summary of its major scientific achievements will be presented. Opportunities for participation through a Guest Investigator Program will be described in detail in an interactive forum. Joint program opportunities available through to Fermi guest investigators will be described including a newly formed partnership with the TESS Observatory.

Recent changes to the program, notably the requirement now applicable to all NASA GI/GO programs for a dual-anonymous proposal preparation and evaluation process will be discussed. Presentations on available user support services, data analysis overview, software tools, catalogs and other online resources will also be included. The intention is for each of these presentations to be interactive and ample time for general questions and discussion will be allotted.
