Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope

Fermi Proposer Workshop

The goal of this session is to update the community on opportunities to participate in the science of the ongoing Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope mission. A description of the Fermi mission and a summary of its major scientific achievements will be presented. Opportunities for participation through a Guest Investigator Program will be described in detail in an interactive forum. The GI program supports a broad range of opportunities including a variety of joint-observation programs through partnership with various ground and space-based observatory partners.

Presentations on user support services, data analysis overview, software tools, catalogs and other online resources will also be included. The intention is for each of these presentations to be interactive and ample time for general questions and discussion will be allotted. We also invite attendees to share short summaries of their own Fermi-related science activities.
