A ToO observation to observe M82 at RA, Dec = 144.0000, 60.0000 (J2000) was approved at 2014-01-23 18:17:38 UTC.
The justification for the ToO is: There is a nearby supernova in M82. While it is not clear whether we expect gamma-ray emission, or how much, this is a unique opportunity for the Fermi mission to look for a gamma-ray counterpart from this kind of event.
The planned duration is 500.00 ks.
The autonomous request threshold during this ToO is LOW.
The ToO observation should begin between 2014-01-23 18:17:38 UTC and 2014-01-30 18:17:38 UTC.
The ToO observation was requested by DR. JULIE E MCENERY.
