Fermi ToO 090605-1-1

A ToO observation to observe CTA 102 at RA, Dec = 333.1520, 1.7310 (J2000) was approved at 2016-12-29 18:03:03 UTC.

The justification for the ToO is: CTA 102 continues to show dramatic flaring activity. It reached a new high for the LAT yesterday, and it is now clearly the brightest object in the gamma-ray sky. Since this activity has extended over weeks, there is every reason to expect further activity.

The planned duration is 430.00 ks.

The autonomous request threshold during this ToO is LOW.

The ToO observation should begin between 2016-12-29 18:03:03 UTC and 2017-01-05 18:03:03 UTC.

The ToO observation was requested by DR. DAVID J THOMPSON.

The ToO commanding order was sent to the MOC at 2016-12-29 18:05:06 UTC.

The MOC sent the ToO execution notification at 2016-12-29 18:25:07 UTC.

The ToO order status is Uplinked at or before: 2016-12-29 18:23:37 UT
